What's important to you in life? Money? Fame? Power? Excitement? If a "genie" gave you three wishes, what would you want first? Did you know that such a "genie" actually exits? Seriously. Indeed, this genie appeared to a man many years ago and the event is recorded for all of humanity to read. Check it out. It's called "The Master Who Refused The Genie" and is a true story. Did you ever wonder about Hitler's quest to create "supermen" for Germany? History records that there once was a Superman on the earth. There was never anyone quite like him before or since, except perhaps in our comic books.

There have been many predictors of the human fate in history. I recall once as a young man, while living in Phoenix, Arizona, that a certain psychic by the name of Jeanne Dixon had predicted that at a certain time and date, Phoenix was going to be destroyed. The roads were filled with people fleeing the city. I remember hearing the prediction on the news that afternoon and thinking about it. The practical side of me said, "Ah, just take a trip into the mountains." After all, I made such trips out into the desert and mountains often and my jeep was already packed. I kept it that way so when I decided to go, I need not go home first. I watched the evening news and it was there again: a dire and ominous prediction! I yawned and stumbled off to bed. At last report, Phoenix is still there. All of which brings me to my point. Predictions for mankind's future are everywhere. The grocery stores of America have become the primary distribution centers for canned soup and canned predictions. You've seen the rags screaming their headlines, I'm sure: EARTH TO DISSOLVE IN YEAR 2000 IN HOLOCAUST! Or, HUMANS LEAVE EARTH FOR BETTER PLACE. And on and on they go. Well, there are some other predictions that are just about as dramatic and that are pretty cataclysmic in tone. And you won't find them next to the candied yams. You'll find them in the Bible. There's some pretty heavy stuff in there. What makes it scary is the fact that a lot of the stuff has already happened that was predicted and some of the writings are done in such a manner that one would be hard pressed to seriously argue that whoever wrote the stuff was trying to sell newspapers in a local Jewish deli on the Jordan River.

In short, the style of writing is such that one must do the following: (1) acknowledge the brilliance of the writing in terms of style, imagery and mystery; and (2) acknowledge the fact that back when this stuff was written, there were no "sci-fi" writers, no writers churning out "fantasy" fiction, and "gloom and doom" wasn't really a very wise thing to write. If one looks at all the writings of the periods of the Bible, there isn't anything close to it (written in time). It stands unique. Think about it. The writers detail another dimension, other beings, a Super Being called God, events that are seen in both historical perspective as well as the perspective of the other dimension, i.e., the spiritual dimension, and from a futuristic perspective.

Moreover, the writers often describe coming events in such specific detail that it would require a giant leap of logic for one to assume the writers had the background to conjure up some of the things they wrote about. Look at their writings, for example, concerning what one can only conclude is an Alien Spacecraft.  While you're browsing, stop and look at The Spiritual Side of Things for some enjoyable reading.
